As the holidays wind down, many of us are looking forward to the new year with bright eyes and big dreams. 2017 is the year I will win the lottery, get the promotion, start exercising, and lose 15 pounds. Forget all of those past New Years’ Resolutions, this time I’m sticking to it!

A Florida cyclist set out to prove he could still eat his favorite food and lose weight. After a month of eating six slices of pizza a day, Matt McClellan had lost 24 pounds! A few years later, his diet has continued and he’s looking healthier than ever. McClellan suggests going light on the cheese and high-fat meats and loading up on veggies and lean proteins.
If a diet consisting primarily of pizza doesn’t appeal to you, maybe one pizza day a week is more your style. According to Men’s Health, having one designated cheat day a week will help you reach your goals and stick to your diet in the long run.
At the end of the day, we all want to be happy and healthy. And if eating pizza will help us get there? Even better.
